I'm sorry to hear you had a bad experience with Dash. Dash is designed to run on tablets mounted outside meeting rooms, not phones. We suspect that you set Dash as your home screen (launcher) which is why it looked like you couldn't open anything else. We'll make sure we display clear instructions for how to turn this setting off in the future.
