Last weekend, I got a "friendly reminder" on my old reliable & trusty (mostly) Samsung Messages app that it would be going "bye-bye" on July 6th & replaced by Google Messages. Today, I took time to read a boatload of reviews (as I ALWAYS do before adding a "new" app) and was BLOWN AWAY by the 98% NEGATIVE reviews of Google Messages app! Why would I EVER want to SWITCH when SO MANY who DID feel like passengers on the TITANIC, grabbing at anything that floats to avoid going down with the ship?!?

I'm forced to switch to this app since samsung messages is discontinuing. Love how it crashes every single time I try to open a picture! I expected better from such a large company. Do better.

(I'll change rating when this is fixed) I can't make new photomojis for some reason anymore. just gets stuck on the loading screen forever. my reference pic doesn't matter

super glitchy. messages coming thru are delayed by 5 to 10 seconds before they pop up. same with being marked as read. messages I've sent go through multiple times, sometimes days later. or sometimes not at all. messages I send go through and suddenly the same message is a draft again. also a little disappointed that there aren't categories for organization. on Samsung messaging I was able to designate threads into separate tabs, like work, personal, etc
