Google Arts & Culture APP Review

Are you curious about what Van Gogh’s Starry Night looks like up close? Interested in exploring ancient Maya temples or the rich history of Black figures? If so, Google Arts & Culture is your go-to app for delving into the world's cultural treasures!

This app grants you access to the stories and artifacts of over 2,000 cultural institutions across 80 countries, providing a unique perspective on various historical and artistic narratives. Whether it's the suffragettes' fight for women's rights, stunning images from NASA, or the performing arts at the Paris Opera, you'll find fascinating stories about our cultural heritage right at your fingertips.

The app offers exciting features such as the Art Transfer, allowing you to transform your photos with classic artworks, and the Art Selfie, where you can discover portraits that resemble you. There are also many ways to explore art, including interactive galleries, 360° videos, and virtual reality tours that take you inside world-class museums. Not to mention, it provides a personalized experience by allowing you to save your favorite artworks and exhibitions!

While this app is a fantastic resource for anyone interested in arts and culture, some users have reported persisting technical issues, such as account management hassles and accessibility concerns on different devices. However, with its continual updates and commitment to showcasing the wonders of culture, it remains a valuable application for anyone curious about the world around them.

Overall, Google Arts & Culture is not just an app, but a gateway to wider knowledge, making it an excellent download for cultural enthusiasts, educators, and curious minds alike.

The app itself is worth 4 stars. The content is great but the navigation is clunky. Unfortunately, it will only run in portrait mode on my tablet and that's an automatic one star.

This used to be a great, intuitive app, with a clean UI and UX and awesome artistic/cultural insights. I didn't use it for a couple years and thought of trying it out again and I'm baffled by how unusable it is. Confusing, crowded, full of AI slop, useless generative features. I used to have my private galleries well organised within my profile and they're gone. I don't usually give bad reviews, mostly good ones. But I'm shocked at how awful this is, I'm sorry.
