Google Fit: Activity Tracking APP Review

Google Fit: Activity Tracking is your go-to app for embracing a healthier and more active lifestyle. Developed in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the American Heart Association (AHA), it introduces the innovative Heart Points system to help motivate you toward daily activity goals that truly benefit your heart and mind. Whether it’s brisk walking, running, or a variety of other exercises, every movement contributes to your overall wellbeing.

With Google Fit, you can conveniently track your workouts using just your phone or a Wear OS smartwatch. The app provides real-time stats on your pace, route, and heart rate, making it easier to monitor your fitness progress. Additionally, it automatically records your daily movement, so you get credit for walking, running, or biking throughout the day without any extra effort.

The app integrates seamlessly with a wide range of popular fitness devices and apps like Nike+, Strava, MyFitnessPal, and more, giving you a unified view of your health data. You can also check your activity history, heart rate, and respiratory rate using just your phone camera, helping you keep a finger on the pulse of your health anytime, anywhere.

Despite its many benefits, some users have reported issues with step counting accuracy and syncing with certain devices. However, if you seek a free and user-friendly tool to encourage daily activity and monitor your fitness, Google Fit remains a solid choice.

Ready to take charge of your health? Dive into Google Fit and start making every move count today!

Never used to have any issues, but now my steps will randomly disappear from the tracker. Now it's pretty much deleting all steps as soon as I finish a walk, while keeping my heart points and move minutes. I have a bunch of 30 minute walks with 0 steps

Fit is no longer reading steps from Health Connect despite appropriate permissions and an alleged "read activity". This regression started a couple weeks ago with no changes on my end. Garmin Connect and Health Connect show the right steps but Fit refuses to sync these steps regardless of deleting data and reassigning permissions. It only displays steps counted from my phone. It also does not sync at night, the steps are still missing the next day.
