Proton markets itself as privacy-first, but the experience tells a different story. Linux support is weak for a company targeting privacy-focused users. After changing my password, all sessions were logged out and I got locked out of my own account. The recovery process restored access, but all my data was wiped. Years of data gone. Yes, they’re “very very secure.” So secure that one mistake can permanently erase everything. Privacy shouldn’t mean zero margin for error.

I was excited about this app & to try something besides Google Calendar but one way or another I always end up back on Google Calendar. 2 Stars bc you can't even add anything without data, it's very glitchy, & idk if it's the whole app in general or just mine but if I try to edit a recurring event it only edits the specific one I'm on not future ones, lack of widgits, AND it doesn't always notify me about a task which is pretty important for any calendar. I hate time zone calanders. I have a flight on the other side of the world on one date, but calendar apps change the date when I'm in a different time zone. Very frustrating to complicate something that doesn't need to be complicated. If I turn off time zones it'll show the incorrect date when in a different time zone. Developers response is incorrect.

If all you need to know is what day of the week and month it is Proton Calendar has you covered. If you are looking for an app to plan out appointments, meetings dates and times you better go buy yourself a notepad and a pen because this app will periodically forget all of that.
