Xave: Encrypted Data Vault APP Review

Xave: Encrypted Data Vault is your go-to solution for secure storage of sensitive data right on your device. In a world where privacy is paramount, this app provides a secure encrypted space that allows you to carry your confidential files wherever you go without relying on cloud services. Unlike many other apps, Xave keeps all your files encrypted at rest on your device, ensuring that your information is protected from unauthorized access.

Xave makes sure you have full control over your data, as it doesn't require personal information for setup and utilizes a unique 9-digit xID for registration. This xID serves across their other secure applications, including the ultra-secure xPal messenger. Plus, the app comes with multiple layers of security, requiring biometric authentication or a 4-digit PIN every time you leave the app.

With Xave, sending and receiving encrypted files is a breeze thanks to its integration with xPal Messenger. You can manage your files efficiently, sort, search, and browse through photos, videos, and more, all while enjoying a fast and user-friendly interface.

Getting started is straightforward—simply choose a screen name and set a PIN, and you're ready to store your data safely. Additionally, Xave’s advanced encryption methods, including AES-256 and HMAC-SHA256, keep your files secure and accessible, ensuring you always have peace of mind.

In conclusion, if you value your privacy and need a dedicated space for your private files, Xave provides an elegant, intuitive solution that gives you full control without compromising on security or usability. Welcome to a new era of data protection!

Very easy to install with a quick sign up. Asked only for a user name and a pin. it was quick to store photos and i really like the file managemeant it was easy to use and organize files. i've been looking for an app to store files with encryption on my phone. this was a good choice. I found it while using their other app xpal. the app has file sharing and messaging by connecting to their other app.

So many bugs it is a joke. Basic text files don't open. No light theme. PIN asked for every few minutes. Cannot use good file manager to add files, only poor stock one.

Scam. Claims no login is required, but the first screen when you open the app is to create an account or login.

Developer Response

Hi there! Just to clarify—Xave doesn’t collect any personal info. You don’t need to enter an email or phone number. To get started, you simply choose a screen name and set a PIN for security.

Installed, saw requirement to create account, uninstalled. It was on my phone for less than 30 seconds.

Developer Response

Hello, Xave does not collect any personal information. To use the app, you only need to choose a screen name and set a 4- or 6-digit PIN—no email, no phone number, and no identity required.

What's new was that the last update completely screwed up the app and will refuse to start up. Don't use this app for anything sensitive or you'll regret losing it all when it decides to no work anymore.

Version: 1.0.6
