Wasted potential. Game is an RNG fest. Everything even down to the captains you build around to attacks that determine who wins a round. Decks have some sway, but can't even affect spells. When things come together it's fun, but it often just doesn't due to something uncontrollable. Predatory monetization that is pay to win at times. No endless mode so fun runs often feel like they end prematurely. Sometimes opponents will have stats that do not make sense for the round and their board state.

Too much content is locked behind gems. Even winning some small amount of gems to purchase decks and captains would go a long way. I'd be far more inclined to buy gems here and there than I am to have to spend hundreds unlocking everything. I'd also be willing to pay one time for a full unlock.

its good and fun for the most part, but later on it feels like I need major luck in order to get past 4th place and that makes me pretty frustrated when im just trying to unlock cards in decks I don't use very often
