Proton markets itself as privacy-first, but the experience tells a different story. Linux support is weak for a company targeting privacy-focused users. After changing my password, all sessions were logged out and I got locked out of my own account. The recovery process restored access, but all my data was wiped. Years of data gone. Yes, they’re “very very secure.” So secure that one mistake can permanently erase everything. Privacy shouldn’t mean zero margin for error.

Requires an account. Any truly legitimate wallet will not require one and will allow you to just generate or restore your seed.
